An Oil-Based Fisting Formula With a Legacy

Tom of Finland’s art has defined bold, unapologetic masculinity for more than half a century, and this Fisting Formula carries the name into the bedroom. It’s an oil-based cream, the slickest kind of lube there is, with 5% benzocaine for a slight numbing effect. It’s made for deep, stretching play that needs glide to last.

Why Oil-Based

Oil doesn’t soak in or dry out the way water-based gels do, so one application goes a long way. The trade-off is compatibility: oil weakens latex, so it isn’t for use with latex condoms, and it can break down TPE, PVC and jelly toys.

Slightly Numbing

The benzocaine takes the edge off without switching sensation off. Use a small amount to start, add more only when you need it, and keep the pace slow.

Use numbing products with care. A desensitizing formula dulls sensation – including the discomfort that tells your body to slow down. Use a small amount, go slower than you think you need to, and stop if anything feels sharp, tearing or wrong. Patch-test on your inner arm first, don’t use on broken or irritated skin, and stop use if irritation develops.

What’s in the Jar

Size: 8 fl oz
Formula: oil-based, white cream
Active: 5% benzocaine
Don’t mix: the manufacturer says not to combine it with the Tom of Finland Fisting Lubricant

Cleanup

Oil-based formulas need warm water and soap to come off, and they can mark sheets, so use a dark towel. For toys, reach for a water-based lube instead, and clean them afterward with a toy cleaner.

The Long Game

A thick, white scoop, warmed between your hands, and the glide feels endless. Nothing dries out, nothing needs topping up, nothing pulls you out of it. It’s a slow night, and this is what lets it stay slow.
